If you have not yet made it to T.H. Gomillion’s Art in the Garden event, you are certainly overdue! This event is in its’ fifth or sixth year. It began as an annual event, but it has been so well received that it has become a semi-annual event over the past 2 years. Local artist T.H. Gomillion and his wife, Sharon, host the event in their beautifully landscaped garden and approximately 15 artists participate by displaying their work for this impressive show and sale. You get a chance to talk to the artists while your senses are heightened by the dazzling works of art. In addition to the stimulating conversations held with the artists, this writer has had equally stimulating conversations with the guests who attend this event. It is for these reasons that this is a not to be missed event!

T.H. Gomillion also ensures that his guests have plenty of food, refreshments and music that will soothe the soul while basking in the comfort of the garden. Do not sell yourself short! If you have not experienced Art in the Garden before, make time to go on May 5th or 6th. The artists that are scheduled to show their work in May include John Beckley, Viola Leak, Gwen Aqui, Al Burts, Hampton Olfus, Deidra Bell, Clayton Lang, Michelle Foster Lucas, Donna D. Stovall, T.H. Gomillion and a half dozen other artists. The mediums range from bronze sculpture to clay, leather, and works on paper and canvas.

Hope to see you at the place!
